Starting a blog…

…and it’s been 20 min since typing that.

I guess to be honest I’m starting this blog primarily to help the fntsma.com SEO and we’ll see where it goes from there. I had some initial doubts about starting this since the trend has been going on the other direction where less and less people are blogging and turning to Instagram instead.

side note- these “side notes” will happen a lot and as a word of caution…my grammar is going to be real bad…so…grammar police “no bueno” here.

But! I have a strong feeling that it’s going to be an essential tool in marketing not only the website but the brand itself. The more I work on the marketing aspect of fntsma the more I come to learn how hard it is to market a product online that is associated with Cannabis. You cant do google ads, cant do Instagram ads, cant open a facebook shop and connect it to your IG page and if you do happen to get past the review phases, you have a couple of days before you get flagged and if your lucky your account is only restricted from running any ads…as it is your cannabis IG page already runs the risk of being shadowbanned or deleted by IG for posting about cannabis. Simply using the word “Canna” in your brand name will have a negative effect in how you can market your brand online; so something to think about if you’re thinking about a name for a cannabis brand.

side note- Thats why you see many cannabis friendly IG pages with backup pages and even backup pages for their backup pages…yeah extra…or the “deleted at 75k followers” which I dont really get why influencers post it…does it help with promoting the IG page? is a brand that wants to do a collab really stop and think “well they say they had 100k followers, lets give them a try”. What stops someone else from simply just stating the same? Jokes aside I’m really curious to know, so if you know, let me know.

And you can still “pay to advertise” on IG via influencers…if you can afford it and if you can afford it then it should be a part of you overall marketing plan.

Back to the blog…right now it’l be used as a place to post updates about fntsma & some of my other work and maybe i'll also use it to post some inspiring things that I find and anything else.
